For the most part your correct... The University wants those houses occupied. Rent along is $2.5Million for all 14 houses/per year.. So, it's a business decision. Just like the reason students pay $5000-$6000/month to rent an old house in CP - to use as a satellite house, throw parties and get fined by the city.. But Not every fraternity. Some groups decide to give the University the big middle finger when they leave campus. So, 4/5 yrs later, and they want to come back - they may have to wait longer as they damaged their relationship with the University. But yes, there will likely be another vacancy, next year, the year after, etc... and the next group will step up and move onto the Row...
