Go into recruitment with an open mind! We have a lot of really great chapters on campus. That being said, this is all speculation: AZD took a big colonizing class that has done pretty well so they're not in desperate need of leadership anymore and are going to be looking for all the same kinds of girls as the others: smart, enthusiastic, driven, presents herself well (attractive), fun, etc. What exactly chapters value is secret and that's what gives each group their "personality". Typically colonies will have national support for the first few years but they really show campus what they're made of when they're on their own, so the freshman girls they take now will probably be the seniors when that's happening. I'd think they (slightly more than the rest of us) are looking for girls who are going to represent them well and won't embarrass them, and the girls they take will have better access to leadership positions sooner. They're also still finding out who they are on campus, and this upcoming pledge class will have a big impact on that. If I were them, I'd be scrutinizing every girl I even thought of bidding. As for them as a whole, I feel like they've got a pretty good foundation and have the potential for this pledge class to either solidify that or keep them in "who are they" limbo for even longer than they will be. I'm rooting for them to get a good class though, it honestly would be best for all of us.
