If you and the other person are younger (first/second year) and in the Greek system then 9 times out of 10 don't waste your time trying to make a relationship work. That's the best time to have a lot of fun, meet a ton of new people, and (yes) hook up with a lot of people or just take things a bit more casually. There are plenty of older couples in the Greek system that are in great relationships and are really happy. It's nice because it actually makes it a lot easier to make friends in your SO's sorority/fraternity, and as long as you don't do anything crazy or horrible if you break up, they'll still be nice to you afterwards
