it factors in, some houses more than other (chi o/dg are very grades oriented, kappa/pi phi less important) if you are equal on the list with someone who has a 3.8 then you lose out. also, you might be heavily cut in the first round as a lot of day 1 cuts are gpa minimums above that. you definitely still have a chance though, lots of girls have low GPAs first semester
