If the only thing that interests you in Greek life is drinking and partying, then maybe fraternity life isn't for you. Let's look at the positives...networking, leadership skills, friendship, knowing that someone cares if you make good grades or not, scholarship opportunities, meeting new people, being a part of something bigger than yourself, giving back to the community through philanthropy and service. Maybe live in House Directors will ensure that Greek life continues at UT, not "destroy it" like you say.
