Rush dropped out

<strong>Subject:</strong><br />advice to rushees!<br /><br /> Poster Message:
Hey y’all, I know a lot of you reading this are gals and guys who are prospective rushees in the next week. What I am about to say is coming from someone who dropped rush freshman year because I didn’t get into a house I thought I “belonged” in. Trust me when I say it was one of the BIGGEST regrets of my life to not just stick with houses who I know wanted me for who I am. I would have rather had the experience of meeting a whole house full of people who were excited to welcome me home than to sit here and watch all my friends do it. This goes for guys and gals when I say that being in one house doesn’t restrict you from being friends with people in other houses. Some of my best friends are in both “top” frats and sororities as well as “bottom”. I hate these terms because they’re so hierarchical, and don’t even define who hangs out with who! My friends in the low ranked houses go to what are considered top frats all the time, you aren’t constricted to friendships in just your house. Don’t forget you have classes, other extracurriculars, and even social/philanthropy events in the Greek community to meet a ton of other people. With that being said, good luck next week and I hope everyone is able to keep an open mind! Greek life will be as fun as you make it, just don’t make it elitist
