Very! And for oos, extremely difficult to get into one of the upper houses (say top 10). Find a group of guys you like and put your efforts there in the beginning. If no bid, be sure to move on to your next choice so there is still time to get a bid. There are lots of great guys everywhere, so don't get hung up on top tier. You will still have a great 4 years (or more).
