There are 16 chartered IFC fraternities, but less than half of them are relevant and active. other schools have that many chapters in just their top -> mid section. our top -> mid goes Top: Ksig, phi psi Top-mid: Sig pi, pike, sigep Mid: Fiji, sig chi That’s only SEVEN houses in our relevant section Not to mention other schools have like 15-20+ relevant sororities while we only have EIGHT total, a couple of which are arguably not even relevant. by relevant i mean strong houses that dont scramble for members or struggle in relations (applies to frats too) Top: Aphi, DG Top-mid: Tridelt, Theta Mid: Gphi thats only FIVE truly relevant houses so tell me guys, why is our greek life so small? we need to UP the number of people trying to join greek life, cmon PHC and IFC. Greek life at UCI needs to change our image from the desperate member-hungry pyramid scheme to the exclusive club everyone wants to be in thats growing every day.
