Heard the same thing before I rushed. As a result, I chose not to pursue DG and here's why. In a nutshell, they recruit cliques. If you are part of a clique that is being recruited and you really like them and see yourself in a permanent friend group for the next four years, then enjoy. if you want to have friends outside of your sorority and aren't cliquey, then DG isn't for you. Also, consider if you are on the "fringe" of your group, because if you are, once you rush DG you most likely will be an "outsider/extra", and it will hurt like hell. Just something to think about. Are you cliquey? Do you "mean girl" well? Good for thought.
