Being a legacy really only helps during the first rounds, though it really depends on each sororitys national policy. For most of them they just have to invite legacies back for second round and afterwards it doesn't really do anything. However if you make it to pref the sorority probably wants you anyway. The only reason you wouldn't get a bid is if you were too low on the list when bid matching happens. I think something like 60% of girls get their first choice from pref at the very least
