First off, I think its amazing that you decided to stay home with your mom, and also really impressive that you're graduating with your associates in only 1.5 years! There is a quota for upperclassmen, so you won't have to compete with freshmen in the fall. There is also rush in the spring but it is a lot less formal than the fall rush, sororities get to choose if they want to participate or not, usually because there are lots of December graduates so they need to fill quota for the spring semester. Both are good options ; if you want the full traditional rush then wait until the fall, you would've also made friends by then which would help you get a bid. But on the other hand, spring rush is also a great opportunity to meet new people if you don't have many friends here and you wouldn't have to wait 8 months to join a sorority! Good luck xoxo
